West Pokot Gov’t Announces Dates For the Launch of Sebit Cement Factory

West Pokot County Governor Simon Kachapin led a section of leaders on Wednesday 3rd April in a meeting with Devki group of companies chairman Narendra Raval in preparation for the official launch of the Sebit cement factory.

According to the County Boss the Cement Factory will be officially launched by the Head of State Wiliam Ruto on Monday 8th of April 2024.

In the session that brought together leaders including senator Julius Murgor, Sigor MP Peter Lochakapong, among other leaders, governor Kachapin stressed the importance of the factory to the economy of the county.

While making his address Kachapin noted that the factory will boost West Pokot County revenue while emphasizing on the possibility of attracting more investors.

“This project will be like a light in this west Pokot county, and which will open doors for more investors, which will lead to the strengthening of the economy,” said Kachapin.

On the other side,other county leaders present leaders led by Senator Julius Murgor, welcomed the arrival of the factory which they said apart from opening up the county commercially, will greatly improve the lives of the residents.

“The face of this county will now change especially commercially because the residents will have a better environment to develop their businesses,” said Murgor
