“We have received food aid from the National Government for the residents who were affected by the floods. This food includes 260 bags of rice, 300 bags of beans and 50 bags of porridge flour,” said Khalif.

In addition, Khalif said that the government has taken the records of farmers who have estimated the losses following the floods, and the level of losses they have suffered, especially plants, and is developing plans to give them seeds to replant.

“We have farmers whose crops were washed away by floods, and we have taken their records. The government is developing strategies to ensure that the farmers are given seeds so that they can resume planting,” he said.
