Residents Demand A Speed up Investigations on The Murder of Aron in West Pokot

West Pokot residents are now de manding a speed up investigations into the brutal death of a youth.

The residents are calling out the investigative agencies at Kapenguria, West Pokot County to complete the investigations and take action against the killer of the young man identified as Aaron Reng’etiang.

Meanwhile according to reports the deceased was allegedly killed by his girlfriend’s brother following a fight.

Reng’etiang passed away while receiving treatment at Kapenguria hospital on the 28th of February 2024, following severe head injuries which according to the doctor’s report were caused by a blunt object.

Speaking at the burial ceremony of the deceased that was organized on Thursday at Tartar, the residents led by Stephen Githinji have strongly condemned the killing of Reng’etiang who they say had great expectations in life.

“We are very saddened by the killing of this young man who had great expectations in life. We ask the police to speed up the investigations and prosecute the killer,” said Githinji.

In addition, Githinji claimed that there is a conspiracy to sabotage the justice, asking the investigative departments to focus on transparency in conducting the investigation and ensure that the perpetrator is found and action taken in accordance with the law.

“There is a conspiracy to undermine justice for this young man. I just ask the police to focus on transparency while conducting investigation so that the person responsible for the murder is found and legal action taken,” he said.
