WestPokot Leaders Warm up for UDA Grassroots Elections

West Pokot County leaders have expressed their support towards the ruling party United Democratic Alliance ahead of the party’s grassroots elections.
The leaders led by West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin met on Monday 15th April at the UDA headquarters in Nairobi.
While speaking to the members of the fourth estate, Kachapin applauded WestPokot UDA members for registering hugely for the upcoming UDA party elections.
According to the County boss West Pokot County has recorded the highest number of registered voters for the UDA party elections nationwide.
“West Pokot has surprised everybody as it has led the other forty seven counties in terms of numbers,i therefore call upon leaders to have peaceful elections, sober elections and may the best leader win,”said Kachapin.
Meanwhile other West Pokot leaders present included Senator Julius Murgor,Members of Parliament Peter Lochakapong and Samuel Moroto.
Also present was Kenya Union Party leaders Hon Rael Aleutum who is the County Women Representative alongside Pokot South Member of Parliament David Pkosing.
Worth noting the two have disclosed their interest in joining UDA party and ditching KUP ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Notably during their remarks, Rael revealed her plan of ditching KUP for UDA ahead of 2027 general elections.
“I am interested in today’s UDA meeting because in 2027 i will be vying for a position under the UDA party,” said Rael.
Meanwhile, the UDA party meeting was led by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in a move to strategize on the grassroots elections that is set to begin on April 26,2024.
Likewise, In his X account formerly twitter the second in command assured aspirants of a fair elections, further adding that the party is determined to deliver a credible election.
“The party is determined to ensure free, fair, transparent, and credible elections,” said Rigathi.
