West Pokot products to go international as an online marketing platform is created
By Emmanuel Oyasi,
The E4Impact organization has officially handed over an online marketing platform to the county government, which was created to advertise various products produced in West Pokot County.
Speaking on Wednesday while handing over the platform to the county government officials, the E4Impact manager, Kenya branch Bernadette Mutinda said that the platform will be of great importance in creating visibility of West Pokot products in and outside the country.
In addition, Mrs. Mutinda said that the platform will change the perception of West Pokot County, where it has been perceived to be unsafe for decades, in relation to cattle rustling activities.
She further said the platform is going to open up the county in terms of business.
“We believe this platform is opening up West Pokot. It is also going to play a very critical role in just changing the narrative of West Pokot,” she said.
Her statements were echoed by the head of public service, West Pokot County, Martine Lotee, who said that the platform will enable small businessmen to access markets across the country.
“We are grateful to the E4Impact organization for creating this platform. It will be of great importance in ensuring that the businessmen of this county access markets across the country,” said Mr. Lotee.
