Sigor Member of Parliament Peter Lochakapong Launches 54 million NGCDF Bursaries

The director of education central Pokot in West Pokot county Wichenje Machacha has applauded the cooperation between the Sigor member of parliament’s office and the department of education.
Speaking at Chesta girls primary school during the launch of bursaries led by the area MP Peter Lochakapong, Machacha said, the collaboration has greatly contributed to the improvement of education standards and better results in national exams.
“I am very grateful for the cooperation that exists between the office of the area MP and the education sector. This collaboration has led to a significant improvement in education levels in this subcounty,”said Mr. Machacha.
The Sigor member of parliament Peter Lochakapong launched 54 million NGCDF bursaries set to benefit atleast eight thousand students from West Pokot.
Likewise, the area MP Peter Lochakapong, who also handed over to chester girls primary school a school bus, asked all the public officers to work in cooperation with the leaders.
“As the director of education has said, every official who serves in a public office should cooperate fully with the existing leaders. Through this partnership, we will ensure that we provide better services to our people,” said Mr. Lochakapong.
At the time, the launch of the bursaries came as a relief to parents who expressed their gratitude to the area MP, saying their children will now attend classes without worry of being sent home for school fee.
“We are very grateful to our MP for providing bursaries for our children. Now, our children will not be sent home for school fee,” they said.
