The Trans Nzoia county governor George Natembeya, has promised to continue with his efforts to unite the Luhya community through his TAWE movement, saying no amount of threats will make him stop.

Speaking in Kitale town after leading county workers in city cleaning exercise on Wednesday, Natembeya said he will increase his dedication to the goal of liberating the community from the pit of poverty.

“No amount of threats will make me stop rallying for luhya unity. I will make sure my community is free from the chains of leaders who use them for their selfish gains,” said Mr. Natembeya.

He said that the cooperation of his opponents who have been joining hands with evil intention of removing him from power due to claims that he is causing divisions in the Luhya community, will not make him afraid to pursue positive changes.

Governor Natembeya continued with his attacks on the speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula and the foreign affairs minister Musalia Mudavadi, noting that the two have been deceiving the community for their personal interests.

“It is not against any law for us to converse about Luhya unity. Those people who claim that we are causing divisions by talking about how to unite our people are rallying for their selfish gains,” he claimed.

Natembeya has been in forefront to rally for luhya unity claiming that despite serving in government for many years, the two leaders have done nothing constructive to liberate the community.
