DCI Detectives Arrests Four Suspects,Recovers Ksh520,000
The Directorate of Criminal Invetigations on Sunday 18th February arrested four suspects in Moyale, Marsabit County recovering atleast Ksh 520,000 allegedly stolen.
Worth noting, according to the DCI the money recovered was denominated in two currencies: Ksh83,000 in Kenyan Shillings and an equivalent of Ksh436,000 in Ethiopian Birr.
Likewise, according to the DCI the four suspects were arrested following an operation by Transnational Organized Crime detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Further at the time of the arrest which was done separetly, the authority recovered a firearm from two of the suspects.
“DCI’s Transnational Organized Crime detectives earlier today conducted an operation in Moyale, Marsabit County which led to the recovery of a firearm (a pistol) from two robbery suspects,” said DCI.
Likewise,the first two suspects have been identified as Dhenge Guyo and Ali Jillo who according to the DCI were nabbed at Sessia area.
“The two; Dhenge Guyo Molu and Kotor Ali Jillo, and the motorcycle they were using (Reg No. KMEY 518) were detained at Moyale Police Station pending collection to TOCU offices in Nairobi,” said DCI.
Similarly according to the authority the two other suspects identified as Kelisa Dulacha Guyo and Wario Ana Halake were arrested at a shop in Moyale after the shopkeeper alerted the officers.
In addition the two suspects according to DCI were involved in a botched robbery were arrested with a rifle loaded with six live rounds seized by the OCS Dabel station.
The two are set be arraigned later today on Monday 19 where appropriate charges will be preferred.
