John Avire delivered a man-of-the-match performance after harambee stars thrashed Namibia 2-1.

Avire gave Kenya an opening goal as Harambee Stars secured a vital 2-1 win over Namibia in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 
The victory sees Kenya move to joint-top of Group J, tied on four points with Cameroon after the Indomitable Lions were held to a 0-0 draw by Zimbabwe in Kampala, Uganda.
