“Kenya is the only team in our group that is giving us competition”-Andre Onana

Cameroon and Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has opened up about the stiff competition his national side is facing from Kenya’s Harambee Stars in the race to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.


Onana a key figure in Cameroon’s campaign, also expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming support he received from Manchester United fans during Cameroon’s recent qualifier against Zimbabwe in Uganda.


Cameroon kicked off their AFCON qualifying campaign with a win over Namibia and a draw against Zimbabwe, earning them four points from their first two matches.
Both Cameroon and Kenya are currently tied at the top of Group J, each with four points after two games. 


“Kenya is the only team in our group that is giving us competition, but I hope we make it to the qualifying rounds,” said Onana.
